| This fragging kit consists of the essential tools to frag the wide array of corals kept in a mixed reef tank. You will have the perfect tools to quickly and precisely frag Small Polyp Stony Corals, Large Polyp Stony Corals, and Soft Corals.
A 7" Heavy-Duty Large Bone Cutter is included for the larger SPS corals. The blades are sharp and the leverage this tool offers is incredible. Place the blades approximately 1/3 into the SPS stem you'd like to frag, give it a quick twist/compression movement, and you'll have the perfect frag cut!
Fragging smaller SPS pieces or you need to get in at an angle? No problem - the curved 4-1/2" medium duty Small Bone Cutter is the perfect tool. This tool helps negotiate densely branched SPS and helps to make even more precise cuts.
Need to frag soft corals? This kit includes a 6-1/2" Coral Cutting Scissors. These coral scissors make quick and true cuts through Toadstools, Mushrooms, Leathers, and Zoanthid Mats giving your new coral frag the quickest healing time possible. 10 General Scalpel Blades with #3 Scalpel Handle are included to assist in scraping loose frags such as Zoanthids or Ricordea off of their rock. A micro-dissection Scalpel is included as well to assist in those hard-to-reach places
When you've got your new frag and are ready to place it on that rock or glue it to that frag plug, you'll be using either the 6" wide Forceps or the micro-dissection Narrow Forceps to make placement a snap and keep glue off your fingers.
CorAffix
Directions
For "frags": Place a spot of CorAffix on a base rock or coral plug. Press the frag onto it and wet with seawater to accelerate hardening. Cures within 20 seconds.
For aquascaping: Do not insert bottle underwater. Place a spot of CorAffix on the underside of a coral above water and quickly insert the coral in seawater to form a skin. Repeat, forming layers, until there is sufficient quantity for making the attachment. Press the coral in position underwater, causing CorAffix to spread between the coral and attachment point. Hold in place for 30 seconds. If a secure bond does not form, apply another layer of CorAffix and try again.
Contains: Ethyl Cyanoacrylate Ester
General Information
CorAffix is an ethyl cyanoacrylate bonding compound with viscosity similar to honey. Use it for attaching stony corals, gorgonians, and other sessile invertebrates in natural positions on the live rock in aquariums. Also for attaching coral "frags" in coral culturing. Use with AquaStik Epoxy Putty (#400695, #400609) to attach larger coral heads. First, put freshly mixed AquaStik on live rock. Push the coral base into the AquaStik and then remove the coral, leaving the impression of the coral base in the AquaStik left in place on the live rock. Allow the AquaStik to harden for 20 minutes. Next, put CorAffix on the coral base and press it into the impression made in the AquaStik, forming a secure bond in 20 seconds.
Note: Keep out of the reach of children and pets. Wear goggles and gloves when using CorAffix. This product can bond skin, eyes, and mouth. For skin contact, wash with soapy water for several minutes.
