Automate calcium supplementation in coral reef aquariums with professional results. Aqua Medic Calcium Reactors feature a closed system designed for universal use. Once installed and incorporated into your setup, Aqua Medic Calcium Reactors dispense a continuous supply of dissolved calcium and calcium bicarbonate ions into your reef aquarium system. Enjoy long term savings and convenient calcium supplementation free of measuring and dosing liquid calcium and alkalinity supplements by hand!
Aqua Medic Calcium Reactors are designed to operate at a very low flow rate and can be installed inside or outside of your aquarium or cabinet stand. Includes integrated lid with a built-in port for a pH probe, bubble counter with suction cup mounting bracket, tubing for water and carbon dioxide and AB Aqua Medic Hydrocarbonate calcium reactor media.
Use SP1500 Dosing Pump (sold separately) to supply water flow to Aqua Medic Calcium Reactor Model KR 400. Model KR 1000 includes a SP 3000 Dosing Pump for controlled water flow. The use of the M-Ventil Solenoid (sold separately) and a pH-Controller is recommended for both models to ensure reliable pH-value adjustment within calcium reactor chamber.

Tips on Calcium Reactor Use
- The use a pH controller or monitor with a high pressure pH Probe is highly recommended to measure and monitor pH levels inside the calcium reactor.
- Replace your media completely every one to two years, and refill as the AB Aqua Medic Hydrocarbonate is consumed by the chemical reaction.
- Check the flow rates of water and CO2 regularly and readjust as required.
- Proper pump maintenance is essential since mineral buildup in the impeller well and the impeller magnet is accelerated when using a calcium reactor.
M-Ventil Solenoid Valve
The M-Ventil Solenoid Valve has a high quality nickel-plated brass body with a maximum operating pressure of 4 bar, pressure fittings for 6 mm flexible hose and can be connected to all our CO2 units. The solenoid coil consumes only 2.5 watts of electrical energy to prevent overheating.

Dosing Pump SP 1500
Features
The SP 1500 is a peristaltic pump in which liquid is transported by repeatedly kneading the pump hose. It can be used wherever small amounts of liquid have to be pumped. In the aquarium, the pump can be used for two purposes: as a feeding pump for low flow reactors, like Nitrate reductors, Calcium reactors, or Phosphate filters, OR as a dosing pump for fertilizers in freshwater aquariums and for trace elements, calcium and bicarbonates in saltwater aquariums.
The dosing pump is supplied with a long lasting synchronous motor and the pump hose is made of Santoprene®, a specially developed material resistant to many chemicals and with a very long life - normally in excess of 3 million compressions.
NOTE: The pump must be operated at the correct voltage (see type label).
