another great product
For me this is a great product as it saves me the hassle of carrying buckets of water every few days for top offs

Extremely dependable
I"ve had one on my 210 gallon reef sump for over 5 years and it has never failed and I've had one on my 265 gallon fowlr sump for over 6 years and it has always been dependable too. I'm now getting ready to order another one for my new 420 gallon tank.

Works as advertised.
I have had the A.T.O. unit running for about 3 weeks now. I have tried all three suggested setups just for test purposes. All setups work flawlessly and were easy to set up and use! I have decided to use the set up that ends up protecting my return pump. You place one sensor in the reserve tank (about 1/2" above your return pump), and the other sensor in your sump. The first sensor tells you when the reserve water is too low and shuts off the return pump automatically, thus not allowing air to enter your return pump which ultimately can damage your pump. The 2nd senor, obviously tells the pump to turn on when the sump is low.
I have not had any issues at all with this device. Only small misdirection is that the package says that the device sounds an alarm when the pump is active. My device does not do this, which is good for me; being that my display tank is in my bedroom.
Over all, I would have given it a 5 star rating, however, I'm curious to see how long it lasts. The construction seems a bit flimsy, that is my only gripe.

Product Works - But could be better
Let me start with the ATO. does work fine (for now). I am a little worried about the use of a float switch though. If it gets stuck in the on position, you ciould overflow your tank. They should add a safety feature to prevent this or use a more reliable water level detection device. Also, the swtich wires have exposed connections (no coating to prevent corrosion). Long term prognosis is that the ATO will fail within a year because of the corrosion.
