CPR Aquatic AquaFuge Refugium Light 24" Large (Mfg# CPRL2436)
Light perfectly fits my refugium
I have been running a refugium and the light failed. This one is a great fit for my 24" unit.

CPR Aquafuge Light is awesome
I was using another fixture with a wide spectrum fluorescent, and I was getting loads of nuisance algae growth. I went for the Aquafuge lamp fixture and things couldn't be more different. I have the largest of the HOB Aquafuges on our 75 gal fish only tank, so I purchased the large light fixture and the optional acrylic stands (photo). The stands fit perfectly and look pretty cool as well.
My macroalgae (both chaeto and caulerpa mixed) is now growing like crazy and they 'fuge is almost totally clear of unwanted growth. Possibly this is just a matter of getting the correct spectrum in there, but it may also help that aeration is increased with the acrylic stands holding the fixture up an inch or so over the 'fuge.
The only negative I have found is that I like to run the lamp during the night hours and the light spills into the tank interfering with moonlight or dark times I try to give my tanks (photo). I'm considering building some sort of screen to contain the light spillover...hint, hint CPR :). I do like watching our guys in the moonlight.

Decent light but gets HOT
As stated this is a decent light for refugium but gets incredibly hot after even a few hours of use. After a day of use a part on the inside of the light became slightly discolored from the heat(was white now somewhat brown). I would be cautious when purchasing this light I cannot see it lasting long with the heat issue.

Big, high profile
This fixture is actually quite tall for the purpose so at first I tried to rest it on the refugium. But it runs quite hot and really does need to be up on the legs. It does have good output I will say that, however, I like to run my refugium light at all times. This is not possible with this light as it spills too much light into the tank. I will probably be replacing with an LED or something smaller. Definitely more expensive than it is worth for my purpose. It is made well, metal rather than cheap plastic and white makes it somewhat less noticeable.
