Alka Reef+ contains carbonate ions to maintain optimum alkalinity level in your aquarium to buffer against unwanted pH variations. Each Alka Reef+ ampoule contains 1,050 mg of carbonate (which equals 35 meq/L, 1750 ppm of CaCO3 or 98 d°KH).

Calci Reef+ is a hydrogel that maintains optimum levels of calcium, magnesium and part of the alkalinity in reef aquariums. Each ampoule of Calci Reef+ contains 1,000 mg of calcium, 50 mg of magnesium, and 915 mg of progressively released hydrogen carbonate (which equals 15 meq/L, or 750 ppm CaCO3, or 42 d°KH).

Prodibio Aquarium Care Products are specially packaged in single-dose glass ampoules. Used in its entirety once opened, each vial contains a highly concentrated product to reduce packaging waste. Tinted glass protects active ingredients from light damage and sealed with inert gas (argon or nitrogen) to reduce oxidation and product degradation. Ok to store at room temperature - refrigeration not required.

General Information

Alka Reef+
Alka Reef+ contains carbonate ions to maintain your aquarium at its optimum alkalinity level. It works with Calci Reef+, a calcium hydro-gel that slowly releases hydrogen carbonate ions into the water. An Alka Reef+ ampoule contains 1,050 mg of carbonate (which equals 35 meq/L, 1750 ppm of CaCO3 or 98 d°KH). In addition to carbonate ions, the calcification reaction also uses up calcium. Therefore, the addition of one ampoule of Calci Reef+ for every two ampoules of Alka Reef+ you use is recommended. The combination of these two products generates an ionic balance close to that of natural seawater. Alka Reef+ is gluconate free.
