Ammonium Chloride Solution 2 oz
The Best Way to Cycle a Tank
Cycling a tank with ammonia is by far the best way to prepare a new tank for the introduction of fish. The old way of introducing one or two "Hardy" fish to start the nitrogen cycle is just plain cruel. It causes the fish to suffer, and often die. Imagine locking yourself in a room with a high concentration of ammonia vapor in the air for a few weeks. Every breath you took would feel like your lungs were on fire. If it didn't kill you, it would almost certainly cause lung cancer or some other horrible lung disease. You would absolutely suffer. By using ammonia to cycle the tank before any fish are added, you prevent the suffering. But be careful where you buy ammonia. Most household ammonia contains deodorants and detergents which remain in the tank. Not good for your fish. Dr. Tim's Ammonium Chloride Solution does not contain these things, and once the tank has cycled, you can introduce fish safely and painlessly. I highly recommend this product.

Exactly what I was looking for.
This product is exactly what I was looking for. All other products, sold by other merchants, did not meet my aquatic needs. Production description and picture are to exact specifications. They always have the best stuff and know how to take care of their products they sell and understand the importance and value of their items. Definitely would recommend to other people!

This is a must have food for nitrifying bacteria
I used this when i cycled my 150 gal saltwater tank with dr. Tim's one qnd only. This is whqt you feed the ammonia eating bacteria. Not everyday though. Those bacterias work slwoer than the nitrite bacteria so if you give them the ammonia everyday, it slows their work dpwn because you are overloading the new colony with all the ammonia. Grat alternative to just feeding flakes or throwing a piece of shrimp in there and waiting for it to decompose...so 11th century style
