Works like it should.
This works like it should.
Make sure to have a GH and KH test kit. You will of course need a pH test kit.
Do not over use! Keep and eye on your pH and be careful using this with just your evaporation water! Over time this will build up and raise the KH very high. Unless you want that it will kill inverts and fish like tetras.
Water changes are always the best thing to do. This will help with the build up of KH and the minerals in the water.
Always use a de-chlorinator. Even filtered water might still have bad stuff.

Doesn't work in non-RO water
pH is a complicated thing in aquariums, but this is not the way to fix it. If you're using RO water this might work fine, because it adds a specific balance of salts to reach the pH on the container. But non-RO water is full of salts, each trying to push the pH its own way. And adding more is not going to help.
In fact, trying to fix the pH is probably not a great idea in the first place, as fish are highly adaptable if the pH remains constant. More importantly, it is important that KH remain constant, and from experience, this product only raises it. If you are a beginner, the easiest is just to do water changes with the same water every time and use distilled or RO water to replace evaporated water (as another reviewer mentioned). If you are more advanced you can look into adjusting KH instead.

7.0 buffer doesn't affect the score in the tank
Using the 7.0 Buffer my tank remains at 7.4, regardless of how many times I have tried using it. I have dissolved enough for the entire tank when I change the water, and have added it dissolved even when I wasn''t changing water. The PH remains at 7.4. I am disappointed in this product and won't be recommending it to anyone.

7.0 Buffer in freshwater 30 gal 90 day old tank
I use R/O water and conditioner to get close to 7.0 PH with water change, I then added microbe-Lift Buffer per instructions. water clouded and would not clear after several days and my PH went 7.6 +, and Phosphate level went way up. maybe ok for pond. Requested refund.
