Wonderful Peace-of-Mind
Wouldn't be without one! Living out in the country we frequently lose power and would worry about our fish not getting enough air if it was out for long periods of time, especially when we're on vacation. Now we have peace-of-mind because it ALWAYS kicks in when the power goes out and returns to normal setting when the power comes back on. Love that we can adjust the setting on it too! The size is great, fits nicely inside our cabinet under the 55 gallon tank. While I consider it quiet I can hear it when it kicks in but it isn't annoying. We usually have it set for intermittent so it will last longer -our outages often are 24 hours or longer. (Keep other things away from it and it will be quieter.) It's lasted for years.

Needed For Every Tank
I wish this was invented long ago.
I'm always wondering if a product like this is too good to be true. I read the reviews, and took a shot.
This pump does what it says it will do. I hooked up the battery, let it run overnight. The next day, I unplugged it, to see if it would keep running. The pump continued to aerate the water with almost no power loss.

The best all around pump ever!
This back up air pump has strong air output even when the power is out. I live in the Sierra's beyond the "GRID", so it was heaven sent for me and my tanks. It will run 20 hours when the generater is off, running 2 sponge filters and 2 14" long air stones!! I have 3 of these running in my fishroom. I have even found replacement batteries easily when they wear out.

We highly recommend this pump because even if the power goes out, this compact workhorse will continue to supply oxygen to your aquarium. It runs continuously on 110V, switching automatically to battery during power loss, then recharges when power is restored. Features two modes: High runs 10 hours continuously on full battery and low runs 20 hours intermittently, 50 seconds on and 50 seconds off. 6V rechargeable battery included. Two 3/16" outlets provide a total of 0.15 cfm of air at 30" of water depth for two airstones. Rated at an output of 240 liters per hour. For aquariums up to 80 gallons. Open center cover and attach red wire to start. Measures 9-1/4" x 6-1/4" x 3-1/4".
