I have used this product several times over my many years of fishkeeping experience. The key to success is early detection of ich and double dosing of the product right from the start. I use a full dose in the morning and a full dose at night. It will take a few days to see results due to the nature of the ich parasite life cycle. Full treatment will usually take 2 weeks. It does smell of garlic but it won't kill plants or sensitive fish. It does not stain sealant. Be sure to remove any chemical filtration media from your filter. Your water will turn more and more brown during the course of treatment, no biggie though. If you use daily as mentioned above you will see results. Be sure to treat for at least 4 days after the last spots are seen. I go 5 just to be super safe.

I removed all ornaments, left them to dry while my 55 gallon tank was being treated, since ick cannot live out of water. Did my daily vaccuming making sure to get as much of the bottom as I could. After treatment was done, I replaced all ornaments and have never had another re-occurance.

This product does help with Ich outbreaks. Like others reviewers I have used this product for years. I have tried other products with no success, but have had success with this product. I have not had 100% success, but have had somewhere in 80% range and as another reviewer wrote start right away with the double dose instructions as your success depends on it. It will not hurt your corals or inverts. The key is early detection and adding it to your system right away.

I have a very small Hippo Tang that had ich ! Also have a Yellow Tang with lots of Soft corals and a black tip star fish. I started the treatment with Kordon Ich Attack, have been using this treatment now for about 3 weeks and the only thing I have noticed was the star fish doesn't like the sudden changes in water treatment . Hope he makes it but understand that they are very sensitive to any changes for some reason they seem to explode from the inside out and same goes for the blue star . Had a blue star that happened to before treatment . The Hippo is doing fine no ich nor do any of the other fish or corals showing stress . Product works and happy with the results so for so good !
