Use the Eshopps Float Valve as part of an automatic top-off system you create to replenish aquarium water lost through evaporation. Adjustable acrylic mounting frame allows a full 6 inch range of water level adjustment for versatile installation options. Features nylon screws (no metal parts) for corrosion- and rust-free use. Includes 3-1/2" x 2" dia Float, Valve Assembly, 1-5/8" x 1-5/8"x 7" high acrylic mounting frame, and a 7 foot length of 1/4" tubing that attaches to your water source.

Auto Top Off Float Valve Float Valve 4.2 5 9 9

It works No worries, it works great, at least hooked up to the RO water maker I have. It shuts off the flow when it reaches the desired level. March 16, 2013

makes worrying about topoffs a thing of the past This is such a great, well built product. It is very sturdy and fastens to the sump well. A great level of adjustment for water levels. I just connected this float valve to a water container and I don't have to worry about topping off anymore. I just refill my reservoir once a week during maintenance and that's it! No salt level fluctuations and I don't have to worry about my pump running dry if I forget to top off. September 11, 2011

I see the inlet tubing, where does the water discharge from? Another piece of tubing?

I would like to hook a filter up to the out-flow side of the product.

Answer:

The water comes out right where the float hinges. There is a spring loaded button valve there that allows a small amount of water to escape if the float falls.

Thank you for your question. With this item, the water discharges from the fitting right above the float; basically spilling out onto the float. The item is designed so that when the desired water level is achieved, the float will rise up and close off the water flow. When the water level drops, the float is lowered, and again opens the flow of water.

Answer:

The system will connect to an edge from 3/16 to 3/8. It will not go over the top frame of a glass aquarium that has a lip flange for a glass cover.

This unit does not cut power to a pump. It works if you have a gravity system or water pressure fill from a domestic source such as an RO water maker.

Does this come with fittings and tubing to connect to a reservoir?(if not, what size tubing fits the valve?)

by fittings, i mean a small bulk head to pierce the reservoir
