Check cords are typically made of tightly woven nylon material. They need to be stiff enough to resist tangling, yet supple enough to allow for the easy handling required in training exercises. The swivel snap prevents the cord from becoming twisted. A knot placed at the other end will prevent the hunter from losing his grip on the check cord.
