Two senior dogs are my constant companions, one, a Westie and the other a Shih Tzu. Chessie and Cato are extremely allergic to many additives usually found in commercial dog foods. Any type of insect bite can precipitate an explosion of itchy skin, followed by secondary infections. These attacks are far worse when the dog foods they eat contain allergens. Even so called "pure dog foods" didn't slow down allergic reactions much. Sometimes I had to give these guys antihistamines 3 times a day and bathe them weekly with a medicated shampoo. I won't give them cortizone unless I absolutely have to. Since switching to Drs. Foster and Smith's dog food for seniors, and dog biscuits for allergic dogs, my buddies are comfortable and look great. Mind you, this is all they eat, except for an added teaspoon of rabbit and rice canned dog food, to let them know they are special. So far, no medicine needed for allergies. There is no way I will ever feed them another brand. Thank you Drs. for knowing what's good for dogs and then giving us a dog food that is as wholesome as yours. |

I've had my two large dogs (aged 6 and 9) on Drs. Foster & Smith senior formula for almost 6 months now. They are both doing great on it, and love the taste. The biggest improvement has been their digestive tract health. I have noticed they are much less "gassy", which is a HUGE benefit! Thank you, Drs. Foster and Smith! |

My dog Tosha...has been on Drs. Foster & Smith foods for a couple months now. Tosha was recently diagnosed with Cushings Disease. She had been on a prescription food for a couple years because it was the only thing her stomach would tolerate. Since I switched her to the Senior Formula Dog Food, I have found her personality and state of mind to be much better. She loves the food! I am a firm believer that wholesome food without artificial preservatives and added ingredients...is wholly better for the well-being of living creatures. Your food has proven this for my Tosha. You have helped me to give her a better quality of life in the time she has left. Thank you so much! |

I just recently switched to F&S dry senior dog food because one of my Aussies is not supposed to get a high protein dog food. The only problem so far is in mixing the old brand with the new F&S brand to change the food gradually. Both dogs pick out just the F&S brand and eat it up, but spit out the old brand on the floor. They love the Foster and Smith and their system is tolerating it much better than the old variety. |

I LOVE this product!! For that last 4 years or so, I had been paying $163 a month, through my vet for special dog food. Two of my dogs (both rescues) have problems digesting. Even at that price I was cleaning up vomit a couple of times a day. After a week on the senior food the vomiting stop completely! I never dreamed I could get a better product for so much less! On a completely seperate issue, I also have a beagle mix who's 15. For the last 2 years she's been eating her stools. I've tried several things but nothing worked. I have wondered if it was nutrition related and now I know it was. Since I switched she has stopped eating her stools!! Just an added bonus! Now I get all of my pet supplies right here! |
