pH -balanced - will not sting when applied
|
Is your pet shaking his head relentlessly, scratching at his ears, or whining when he scratches? This innovative topical solution is your ideal solution for care of wounds, infections, and irritations to the ear caused by bacteria, viruses, or fungi. Use for burning, stinging, and itching ears, as well as ears with pollutants, contaminants, infection, and odors. Also helpful for cleansing and removing debris. This steroid-free, antibiotic-free solution is nontoxic and made of compounds similar to those produced by the animal's own body, and Vetericyn will not harm healthy tissue. Vetericyn is pH-neutral and will not sting when applied. This product, in solution, kills 99.999% of bacteria, viruses, and fungi including E.coli, Staph (MRSA), Strep, Moraxella bovis, Pasteurella, Actinomyces and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Tests free for competitive animals. Convenient squeeze bottle with nozzle allows easy insertion into the ear for application. Safe for use around mouth, nose, ears, and eyes. No rinsing required. For dogs, cats, horses, birds, and small pets.
Directions: Adjust dropper nozzle. Saturate the affected area on or in the ear. If dressing is required, saturate dressing with Vetericyn Ear Rinse at each dressing change. Repeat 3-4 times per day until wound is healed. Faster healing is achieved when wounds are clean and maintained moist.

Chemistry of Vetericyn
The active-ingredient in all Vetericyn products is Hypochlorous acid (HOCl - also known as hydrogen hypochlorite). In some products, sodium hypochlorite is used in trace amounts as a preservative. The pH of Vetericyn is manufactured in the appropriate physiological range, unlike Dakin's Solution, a diluted bleach with sodium bicarbonate, which has a pH > 11 (neutral pH is 7 - below 7 is acidic, while above that is alkaline). At an appropriate physiological pH, diluted bleach is unstable and has limited efficacy as an antimicrobial. Laboratory tests show that in solution, Vetericyn is up to 70X more effective against bacteria than diluted bleach, yet is 100% nontoxic.
Ear Rinse
Ingredients: Active: Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl) (0.003%) Inactive: Electrolyzed Water (H2O) (99.97%), Sodium Chloride (NaCl) (0.0023%), Sodium Hypochlorite (NaOCl) (0.004%).
Indications: For flushing, cleaning, and caring for wounds, infections, and irritations to outer ear and ear canal. Use to relieve ears affected by burning, stinging, itching, pollutants, contaminants, infection, and wound odors. If your dog has an existing ear infection, we recommend consulting with your veterinarian before using this or any other ear products.
STORAGE AND SAFETY: Store in a dry area away from extreme heat and direct sunlight. Keep away from children and pets.
