Dental Clens® Pads are saturated with Dental Cleanser Solution to clean your pet's teeth and gums, leaving him with peppermint-fresh breath. Contains powerful, bacteria-destroying chlorhexidine, which veterinarians use in the fight against harmful germs and plaque. For best results, use daily. Each jar contains a 90-day supply.
Our pets depend on us for their oral care. Trouble begins when food particles and bacteria build up in the mouth and form plaque and tartar, which leads to gingivitis and the more severe periodontal disease. Periodontal disease leads to tooth decay, bad breath, bleeding gums, and eventual tooth loss. Further complications arise when bacteria from the mouth enter the animal's bloodstream and cause damage to the heart, liver, kidneys, and lungs. Monitor your pet's oral health and contact your veterinarian if you have concerns.

The American Veterinary Dental Society recommends three steps for pet oral health:
Take your pet to a veterinarian for a physical exam, which should include a thorough dental exam, at least once a year.
Start a regular home dental care routine. This includes brushing your pet's teeth with toothpastes formulated especially for pets, such as Drs. Foster & Smith’s Tartar Control or Baking Soda toothpaste, and wiping his teeth with convenient Dental Clens® Pads.
Rawhide is also a great complement to a regular dental routine.
Teaching your pet early in life to accept a regular dental program is the easiest way to keep plaque at bay. Use the following guidelines to tend to your pet’s teeth on an on-going basis:
To get your pet accustomed to having something in his mouth, start with a piece of gauze or damp washcloth wrapped around your index finger. Use a gentle circular motion.
When he is accustomed to this, advance to a soft, nylon toothbrush, a finger toothbrush, a dental sponge and Dental Cleanser, or Dental Clens® pads. Keep your dog’s temperament in mind when you choose what method to use.
Use a toothpaste formulated especially for dogs, such as Drs. Foster & Smith Tartar Control or Baking Soda toothpaste.
Use Dental Clens® Pads to rid mouth folds of harmful bacteria.
Dental disease is one of the most common problems we see. Periodontal disease is the most commonly diagnosed disease in cats and dogs over the age of 3 years. Just as we can prevent many viral diseases by using vaccines, we can also prevent the majority of dental disease cases by following the easy steps described above.
Instructions: Hold pet's head steady with one hand. Gently wipe teeth and gums with pad. Use additional pads as needed until entire mouth has been cleaned.
Dental Clens® Pads are safe to be used everyday. A daily dental cleansing routine is beneficial to your pet's teeth and overall health.

My dog, Bowie, loves these Dental Clens Pads! He actually gets exited to get his teeth cleaned. They are easy to use and not messy. His teeth are so clean, and his breath is nice and fresh!
I absolutely love Drs. Foster & Smith Dental Clens Pads! They have a great peppermint smell, and it really does a nice job of cleaning the teeth. My one dog had just gotten her teeth cleaned, and using these daily has helped her maintain her pearly whites. Our other dog's teeth were starting to look like he was due for a cleaning, but now his teeth are a sparkling white also!
Not only are these quick and effective for cleaning teeth, they're also a boon for cleaning my big dogs' lip folds. When my Newfoundlands get hot or excited, they can get a little sloppy, so I simply take the Dental Clens Pads and wipe off the moisture. An extra bonus is that their breath smells really fresh.
