Easy on the dog.
I have a 90+lb Pit/Dogo mix that has always HATED having his nails clipped. I can not take him to a groomer with my other dogs and always had difficulty both keeping him still and clipping his thick nails. I wish I would have ordered this years ago! I introduced the grinder slowly to get him used to the sound and the vibrations. Now he will calmly lie down and let me work on his nails! The only problem I have found is sometimes the grinder will speed up on its own. I usually turn it off for a bit when this happens.

Just what my Molly McFluff needed!
I have three dogs, a Boston, a Lab and my little Molly, an Affenpinscher. She has never liked getting her nails done like the other two. Her mani pedi always became a very stressful situation. That is until now. This grinder is variable speed and gentle and quiet enough not to get Molly all frazzled. Works great on my lab as well. My Boston has two nails that have a curve to them and the grinding tips are a bit too large to get under them. Holding it takes a bit of practice (I have petite hands) but once you find what works for your size hand its great. Overall - I wish I would have bought this item a long time ago - Would have saved me years of struggle.

Great product.
I've been looking/researching pet nail grinders for a few months. I had bought a cheap model from the local pet store for $20 and was very dissatisfied with the performance. Battery lasted through 1 grind + it didn't have the power to work through my dog's nails. I chose Oster because of the other reviews I read. I have a Pug and his nails are thick and grow fast. I was taking him for maincures every 2 weeks to have his nails ground. The cost of the Oster has paid for itself in just 2 months. Now I can do the job myself, save $$, and keep ahead of his growing nails. When I read that someone used the Oster Grinder on their Great Dane I was sold. It is easy to use and is electric; no batteries to worry about. It is quiet. My Pug is not frightened by it at all; I think he enjoys it. It comes with a nice storage case for less clutter.
I recommend this product to everyone.
