HyLyt Shampoo, 16 oz
Wonderful product for dogs with itchy/bad skin
I used to work for a veterinary hospital and we sold this product there, but it was a lot more expensive than what I purchased it for from Dr. Fosters and Smith. It was doubled the price I paid for it recently and that was back in 2000, so I can only imagine how much it is now there. My first experience with using this product was when I would bathe dogs at work with it. I always loved the smell of it, especially the crème rinse. It also made my hands so soft after using it.
Our dog has had itchy/dry skin and its very important that we use a soap-free product on him, such as the HyLyt shampoo. My husband gave our dog his first bath with this shampoo last night and our dog already seems to not be itchy much, if any, at all now. We took him outside afterwards to comb him. He has blonde hair and it just glistened in the sun. I have never seen his hair coat look this shiny and soft. I am so glad that I found this product again! You will not be disappointed if you choose this product for your pet. You will love it! I definitely recommend not purchasing it at a vet. because the mark-up is huge. Granted, I love it so much I think it's worth paying whatever it costs, but when you can get the same product for much cheaper than Dr. Fosters and Smith's is the way to go. Thanks Dr. Fosters and Smith for making great products like the ones even vets. sale available for much cheaper. You all are awesome!

Love this product
My 6-year-old collies began to develop dry skin issues this summer. Not much scratching/itching, but lots of flakes. I spoke with the vet who recommended a soap-free hypoallergenic shampoo with weekly baths, and mentioned HyLyt as a possibility. I asked their regular groomer about HyLyt, and her experience with it was definitely positive. Well, what a difference after only two baths. No more flakes! The creme rinse moisturizes their skin, and the spray (I use it several times between baths) seems to make their coats shiny. An added benefit - there are fewer tangles on their legs, chests, and tails so daily brushing goes much more quickly!

only shampoo i use
this product was recommended to me by a groomer over 10 years ago. it is all that I use. it is a "non-shampoo" and does not irritate my dog's skin. simply the best.

When I was a practicing veterianarian, Hylyt shampoo was my go-to shampoo. It lathers up great and smells wonderful. It does not dry out the skin. Now as a retired veterinarian I still use this shampoo for all of my cats. I would highly recommend this shampoo for cats or dogs.
