This clipper was very gentle on my dog and works very well. The combs are easily interchangeable and it didn't scare my dog while I was using it on him. The clipper is well designed and the carrying case is great for keeping it stored without worry of damage.

I would take our English setter to the groomers every 3-4 weeks in the summer to have her coat cut very close. It cost around $70 each time. I bought a cheap pair of clippers at a discount store and thought I would just follow the groomers cut. The first time I used them they broke.
I use to be a hairdresser and the more I thought about it I figured I'd give it a try. I ordered these clippers. They are very easy to use. They did a great job. I used the scissors to trim her ears and tail. She looks great. No one knew I cut her hair. They all thought I took her to the groomers. It was a very good investment.

Very affordable & easy to use, money well spent. The video gives step by step instructions. We did a pretty good job for a first timer. Clipper wasn't that noisy so it didn't stress her out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Phernfrog Cuts dog hair just fine
I pay over $60 to get my dog's hair trimmed and this is a bargain by comparison. I have a dog with long, fine hair that mats easily and this trimmer has no trouble getting through it. I've had it for 5 months and done a full body trim twice, then used it to trim her feet, ears and tail as well. It's holding up fine so far and has already more than paid for itself. It can pull hair if I move too quickly; I've found I have to give it time to cut through thick hair. It does heat up during use, but it takes me over an hour to do a full body trim and I can still hold it at the end of the session, so never too hot for use.
