Economy Piddle Pads Xtra have 3 layers of protection: the top porous layer brings the moisture down to the absorbent core, which is glued directly to the leakproof bottom layer. An economical pad ideal for the needs of small dogs and puppies. Pads measure 21" x 23".

Your new puppy is home and you've started the housebreaking process. This is the most important training your pup will receive. Mistakes that occur with housebreaking can cause more problems between you and your pet than those encountered with any other form of training. Be patient and stay calm.

Housebreaking Rule Number One: This is the most important rule. If you don't catch your puppy doing it, then don't punish him for it!

Housebreaking Rule Number Two: Praise your puppy when things go right. Don't let this be a situation where your only action is saying "No" when he is caught in the midst of using the wrong area. If he does it right, let him know!

Put down pretreated Drs. Foster & Smith Piddle Pads®, encouraging him to use these areas for eliminating. The pads are scented with a chemical that attracts the puppy to use them. Whenever you see him starting into his "pre-potty pattern," such as walking around and sniffing the floor, gently pick him up and carry him over to the pad. Praise him when he eliminates.

When all goes well and he is using the pads consistently, either move the pads closer to the door and/or place another set outside. Make the transition from concentrating the toilet habits to one spot inside the home to one spot outside the home. Finally, eliminate the inside pads when they are no longer needed.

Piddle Pads are also good for sick or older dogs who need to eliminate more often, and pets recovering from surgery.

I am a breeder of Maltese and have used your piddle pads extra from the very beginning with the star of my kennel, "Daye Tripper." I wasn't sure how the pads would work with my "big boy" but he took to them from the very start. As we brought in our girls, "Sofia Ralph Lauren" , "Bella Versasce" and little tiny "Cookie Sue", Tripper taught them to use the pads. The girls were actually first trained to go outside but it took just a short period of time for them to use only the pads. As you can well imagine we use an inordinante number of pads as we also send our babies to their new homes with a supply of pads. I started with your pads only and in a cost cutting move shopped around to try to save a little. That was a disaster ! I can't tell you what a mistake the dogs thought my cost cutting move was. Tripper just outright refused to use the other brands and marked every where in our home, and the girls scratched and tore them up after they went to the off brands, more times than they used them....So, I just ordered 4 boxes of 180 pads and have applied to join your business program. Please consider me for membership. My hardwood floors cannot do without your Piddle Pads extra!! I would love to tell the world about this product, one that actually works from the start and one you can rely on the quality being there each and every order. I've been using your Piddle Pads since my six year old Chihuahua was a puppy. I've tried other brands, but none have the quality and absorbancy yours do. I placed my last order in December and honestly, I was very upset when the order came in. The redesigned pads were thinner and I just knew they weren't going to work for me ... I WAS WRONG! The new pad design is not only thinner, but is more absorbant than before!! I don't know how you improved a product that was already better than the rest, but you did! THANK YOU!
