Simple Solution Washable Diapers Small
My elderly girl has urinary problems. This diaper is the best that I've found for every day use as it is constructed so well. I use a less sturdy ruffled pantie for outings & "visiting", but for every day use, there is not a better pantie on the market. The elastic in strategic areas, coupled with the strong velcro & strong fabric make this product impossible to beat. I cut extra long human incontinent liners in half to line the inside. Of course, female diapers must be changed frequently to avoid infections. I change the pads whether wet or dry at least every 2 hours, and wash the pantie if I feel there might have been spillage.

Nice to Have
Works well alone or with a disposable diaper (if extra protection is needed). Only problem, at times my dog finds a way to slip out of it.

While we liked the design and construction of this product, it may work better for dogs in heat or smaller incontinent dogs. Ours is a shepherd mix with both urinary and fecal incontinence issues. Her eliminations seem to be too much for the product to contain and we are having to launder every day. We tried purchasing the Simple Solution pads, but I was disappointed when I received them--human sanitary napkins are probably more cost-effective. Also, some sanitary napkins may offer better protection as they flare out to cover a wider area.

These are fully adjustable which is a great plus. They seem soft and comfortable. I put an incontinence pad (moderate leakage) inside and they seem to work great. Without the pad, the washable diaper has to be washed each time my pet has an accident but with the disposable pad, I just change the pad. I purchase "regular" incontinence pads for women and they fit perfectly from the tail opening to the end and stay in place.
