Dosage and Administration
Use only one collar per animal. Fit collar around your pet's neck, allowing for 2 fingers to fit between the collar and your pet's neck to ensure a comfortable, yet snug, fit. Once collar is properly fitted, cut off any excess collar measuring 1" or longer. Check collar fit regularly and adjust if necessary - especially when puppies are rapidly growing. Do not use collar on puppies less than 7 weeks of age.

Your pet should wear the collar continuously for the 8-month protection period. Remove and replace collar after the 8-month treatment period.

You may initially notice a white powder residue on the surface of the collar. This is stearic acid, a substance graded for food use, which helps release the collar during the molding process.

Innovative technology in flea and tick protection
Seresto's unique polymer matrix enables it to release controlled doses of its active ingredients, both of which are well tolerated in cats and dogs.

The Seresto Collar does not release its active ingredients until it is applied to your pet. Once on your pet, the active ingredient molecules migrate from the polymer matrix within the collar to form a microlayer on the collar surface. The active ingredients are then transferred from the collar to the lipid layer of your pet's skin and hair. Your pet's natural oils help the active ingredients diffuse and spread through the lipid layer, offering your pet full-body protection.

Continuous Use Active ingredients continue to migrate from matrix to lipid layer as needed. Optimal flea- and tick-killing protection is sustained for up to 8 months at a consistent and effective dose.
