Disposable Diapers XSmall, 12 ct 4 5 21 21

Sizing These diapers worked incredibly well for my love Little Bear. I was unsure which size might be best for her (she's probably part border collie-black lab, and weighs about 40 pounds), and the large was perfect. I don't know what I would do with out them! Our dog is almost 16 years old, she has lost control of her bladder. We would not be able to.deal with the mess if we didn't have the diapers, they are very easy to use and our dog finds them comfortable , she doesn't try to tear them off! February 18, 2013

What size is right?

I am interested in these but several customers say the sizing is incorrect, to get a smaller size than you think necessary. Exactly where is a dogs waist? How do I know if I am measuring correctly? And what does the length of the diaper have to do with it? My dog has slipped a disc and lost the use of his left leg, he has torn his ACL so the right leg is useless. He has been good about letting me know when he needed to go outside, but tonight, he lost control so I thought the diapers would be a great idea.

I have a female lab 54 lbs she wears extra large, they fit up as far as you can pull through the hole, a little beyond the back legs. They are very easy to use. The diaper can be put on and off several times for letting the the dog out .

I can tell you that the x-small fits my 8 lb cat. just right....with extra room if he was larger. I know the length in the diaper would have to do with covering the private area of the male dog. I know the washable britches w/ pads run a little large, however, I have heard they work well.

I have the wrap, which fits around the torso only, not the diaper, so I have no direct experience. But I can suggest this: Measure around the torso slightly in front of his hips (if there was a photo, use that as a guide). The wrap's dimensions were true to what was stated, and it seems to me that even if came in larger, you could modify the Velcro closings to make it small enough to fit around the torso, but I could see that if it's too bulky, that would defeat the purpose. I think you're buying the right product compared to the wrap. Re: the length, I'm going to guess that's the distance from the tail hole to the front edge that goes around his torso in front of his hips. This length is important because you want to be sure his whizzer is covered with a little material to spare. With the wrap, it sits almost in front of my dog's whizzer so I worry that if he squiggles around enough it'll get uncovered. Good luck with your little guy; he's lucky to have you. I hope this helps.
