* Adjustable martingale collar gives you more control than a buckle collar, yet is safer than a choke collar
* Martingale-style collar tightens to give greater control and reduce dog backing out
* Nylon collar has limited closure and center D-ring for safety

Control your dog without causing coughing, hacking, or choking. This martingale-style dog collar also won't catch in your dog's fur. Nylon Martingale collar is formed with two loops attached with metal hardware. The larger loop is placed around the dog's neck, while the smaller loop, with a center D-ring, attaches to the lead. The collar tightens when your dog pulls, but because of the metal rectangle attachments, it offers limited closure. By contrast, a choke chain may tighten enough to cause your dog to cough and gag and may even damage the dog's neck. PetSafe Adjustable Martingale collars have an added quick-release snap buckle for easier on and off.

Martingale collars were originally designed for Greyhounds and other dogs whose heads are more narrow than their necks so they often slipped out of regular buckle collars. Use it on walks with a lead, the martingale collar tightens when your dog pulls and loosens when he stops, so it's only tight when it needs to be. It's also easy to quickly grab with your hand to keep your dog from getting into mischief. Recommended by breeders and trainers, these collars also reduce the risk of your dog slipping out and escaping.
