Bite Free Collars Collar, 11"-15"
It Saved The Day
My four year old, 65 pound Chow Chow recently had surgery for hip deplacia. I had the vet shave the hair on his neck and place the collar on him before he came home. It worked very well and prevented him from biting us while he was in pain and recovering. It would have been better if I had them shave the hair completely down to the skin as he did manage to slip the collar off after three days. However, he really didn't need it anymore. Great product - much better than the hard Elizabethan collars.

Dachshund with a pinched nerve
We bought this for our Dachshund who had a severe pinched nerve in her neck. We kept her drugged to restrict movement, but discontinued the medication when this product arrived. The collar kept her neck stable, allowing her to move around while she healed.

bite free collar
I am quite happy with the bite free collar I purchased for my dog. I initially thought that the collar was too wide for my dogs neck, but that was not the case once I put the collar on him. My dog never fought with the collar being on, and it did prevent him from licking the area that was raw from his constant attention. I would recommend that, if there is a decision between two sizes of the collar, to purchase the larger of the two collars. And, since my dog is older and not seeing as well as when he was young, I feel that this collar is a much better choice than one that would obstruct his vision.
I am glad I talked with the people at Drs Foster and Smith before purchasing. They helped me make the best decision for my dog's situation.

Great product...would recommend
Use the neck measurement versus weight to get correct size. If I used weight the collar would have been too big.
