Rated 5 out of 5 by Edda Large Flossy Chew Rope I bought this toy in large for my dog Dori Anne who is 60 pounds and 11 years old. She just loves to take it outside and I always have to bring it back in the house. This toy was on sale when I bought it at a great price. She chews on it and wants to play tug of war. Yes, I would recommend this for any dog since it comes it different sizes. Also, made very well. March 28, 2016

I called the manufacturer. They are manufactured in China.

good for pet

my dog likes the rope toy but i find the strings sticking out of her mouth. is this good for her if she swallows it. and what toys are the best for her she is a golden retriever

I feel that the strings act as a sort of dental floss. BUT, I do watch the doggie when he plays with this, and I remove any strings as they become dislodged from the toy. As a responsible pet owner, I always watch the dog and remove any particles or strings if they dog chews so aggressively from the toy. Usually my pet does not swallow the particles, but simply leaves them on the floor or doggie bed, and I'll just quickly pick them up as needed to remove them from his line of sight. For larger dogs who may swallow, I would recommend a larger KONG-style chew, as these are very durable.

Thank you for your question. If your dog does swallow any part of this (or any other) toy, we would recommend immediately removing the toy and monitoring her closely. Cotton rope is not digestible and can lead to severe issues if ingested and not passed through her system. If she does have a history of swallowing toys, you may want to look at larger, hard plastic or rubber balls. These should be much more difficult to ingest. jpk
