This clipper has been designed for commercial use. Before using the first time, the batteries will need charging for approximately 1.5 hours. A fully charged battery gives you approximately 60 minutes of operating time.

Facts about Blades & Cutting

1. Blades not only become dull from cutting hair, they are dulled by the abrasive particles on the hair (dirt, sand, etc).
2. Blades will not cut if abrasive particles are picked up and carried by the oil film between the blades. These particles tend to hold the blades apart and cause chewing and pulling instead of clean cutting.
3. Oiling the blades performs two, distinct functions: 1) provides low friction, very thin film lubricant between the cutting blades so that they can take a full cutting stroke without becoming hot from frictional heat, and 2) flushes away abrasive particles and hairs from between the blades.
   NOTE: If you cut into dirt, immediately wash the blades with Wahl oil to flush it out.

Before Initial Operation
The hair clipper contains a removable battery pack. The battery pack should be charged for about 1.5 hours before the initial use.

1. Push the releases at both sides of the clipper and take out the battery pack.
2. Insert the battery pack into the recess of the charging stand. The red indicator light is lit.
3. When the charging process is finished, the red indictor light will flash. Remove the battery pack from the charging stand and insert it into the clipper, until it audibly engages.
4. Recharging is only necessary when the red indicator light illuminates. Do not charge the battery unless the charge capacity has run low. A completely charged battery will power the clipper for about 60 minutes.

Battery Pack Operation
Turn on the unit with the slide switch B and turn off again after use. When the switch is operated, the red indicator light illuminates to indicate that the device is ready for use.

Cutting Length Adjustment
The cutting length can be adjusted into 5 positions from 0.1mm to 3mm, by moving the switch on the bottom of the blade.

Attachment Combs
Put the attachment comb you need onto the blade by attaching it on the sides of the clipper. The following cutting lengths are possible: #3, 1/8" cut; #6, 1/4" cut; #9, 3/8" cut; #12, 1/2" cut. The cutting lengths can be read at the attachment comb. The advantage of these attachment combs is that independent of the angle in which you use the clipper, the cutting lengths always remain the same.

Cleaning and General Care

• Never immerse the unit in water.
• Remove the clip-on comb attachment each time after use and remove any hairs from the cutting blade using the cleaning brush. Take off the cutting head and press the cleaning lever. Hairs attached between the clip-on comb and the cutting blades are easily removed.
• Clean the clipper body with a soft, damp cloth. Never use solvents or scouring agents. The cutting head should be cleaned and oiled frequently using Wahl H-42 in order to maintain its good cutting performance and thus ensure a long service life.
• The cutting head should be replaced if the cutting performance is reduced after extended use, despite regular cleaning and lubrication.
• After use and cleaning, the clip-on comb should be replaced on the unit to protect the blade.
• During use, always be sure the cord is not twisted or running over any sharp objects that might cut the cord insulation.
• Except for the blade set, this product contains no user serviceable parts.

Changing the Blade
The cutting head can be removed by pushing it away from the housing in the direction of the arrow. The clipper must be switched off beforehand. To refit the blade set, fit it into its holding and press it onto the clipper, until you hear it click into place.
