Dura-Ruff Bed Large 48" x 28" Color: Olive
Held up well
We purchased this bed for our 115 pound Rottweiler when she stayed at a kennel for 9 days. She has had surgery on all 4 legs and has some arthritis issues that make it impossible for her to sleep on the raised beds provided (her size is a factor too!). This bed held up just fine. She was not stiff and sore after sleeping on it. The durable, water-resistant cover made for easy cleaning for the staff. The foam held up well and it was lightweight. She doesn't use it on a daily basis but we have a good bed for her nights away from home that didn't cost a fortune.

This is a tough product and holds up well with three dogs.
After going through about five dog beds (the Dane loves to shake a bed until the stuffing flies out) the decision was made to try a tougher bed that would be difficult to rip apart. When the beds arrived, each dog took a try at laying on them and quickly determined that yes, the beds were stiff and totally unshakeable. Now, they love them and there is probably a third bed in their future.

The Dura-Ruff Bed in a high quality poduct.
After doing a significant amount of research, I decided to go with the Dura-Ruff Bed. I was looking for a durable, outdoor dog bed that could spend the entire year on my covered porch - and be used by three dogs. The orthopedic mattress is great for my 12 year old lab and is durable enough to withstand the rough housing of my 7 year old pit bull and the digging of my 5 month old chocolate lab.

Tough and easycare
Our 70 pound, 13 year old, mutt loves this firm bed... with her blanket on top. The fabric on the bed is very tough and easycare. Since this bed is enclosed in water repellent fabric, I don't have to worry about either accidents (when indoors) or dampness (when outdoors). As other reviewers have noted, the water repellent nature of the fabric makes crackly sounds when stepped on; but, adding a favorite blanket or quilt fixes that problem.
