Lawn Guard effectively controls ugly, yellow-brown lawn burn caused by pet waste! This effective supplement contains the plant extract Yucca schidigera, which helps bind nitrogen in waste and reduce fecal odor. It also contains essential B Vitamins and other healthy ingredients.

When your pet urinates or defecates on the lawn, a concentrated amount of nitrogen is deposited in a small spot, just like when you over-apply lawn fertilizer containing nitrogen. In moderate amounts, nitrogen can help green up the lawn, but too much causes unsightly yellow-brown "burn" patches.

Lawn Guard Regular Strength, 100 tabs 3.8 5 20 20

This product really works. My lawn never has doggie burn spots. My lawn never has burn marks from my dogs urine. I would not think of not using this product! May 13, 2013

Our dog loves it! We have used lawn guard for a few years now and it works wonderfully. Our golden retriever (female) was leaving us with yellow patches all over our lawn for the first couple of years of her life. My daughter recommended lawn guard to me because she used the product with success with her golden retriever. It worked great!!! Now our lawn stays green and Ginger (the golden) loves the liver flavor or the "green treats". I hope you always carry this product. May 13, 2013

Doctors Foster and Smith Lawn Guard is AMAZING!!!!! Last May 2012 we decided to get an American Bulldog pup. We got her at 8 weeks old and she has been a real blessing to our family. As she started getting bigger we started noticing she was burning our lawn where she was peeing. We went to Petsmart to see what we could find to try and correct this issue. We found a grass saver soft chew supplement, bought it and tried it. She broke out in bumps from it, so we took her to the vet and stopped giving her those. We asked our vet if he recommended anything for this problem but he had no real answer. We read put gypsum down on the yard. Since I already do that I knew that wasn't it. It probably helps since gypsum enriches the soil. So through the winter our pup did $500 worth of damage to our back yard. We had to figure something out! Getting rid of her is not an option. I was talking to a guy up the street who's yard is one you'd see on the cover of a magazine. He swore on this Lawn Guard product. He said if his wife forgets one day he can tell. I went home and ordered it right away and I AM NOT KIDDING!!! Ive seen zero signs of any burning. This stuff is FANTASTIC!!! May 7, 2013

xtra stength lawn guard This product is saving my yard! We had to reseed this spring ( after hiring a company to fertilize our lawn last year, which only helped our Great dane mix destroy our yard). After reseeding this spring, our girl has left no new urine burn spots (female Dane\anotolian shepherd mix) and we are extremely pleased with this product! May 5, 2013

On both Drs. Smith & Foster's website and product packaging, there are recommended dosage charts for all three versions of Lawn Guard, based on the weight of the dog. I have had great results giving my 50 pound dog only two of the Extra Strength Bites daily year round, and she loves them as her daily treats.

Can I give a puppy (12 weeks old) the extra strength tablets?

Is the extra stength safe for a puppy, she's about 21 pounds at 12 weeks of age. I have 2 larger dogs, 72 pounds and 60 pounds and I was going to buy the extra stength for them.. or should I buy regular stength? I guess I confused on how to know which strenght to buy.

I would buy the regular strength for the puppy however I would give extra strength to the larger dogs. My dog is 86 pounds and I give her 4 tablets a day every day and have had great results with the product.

Thank you for your question. The Lawn Guard tablets can safely be given to dogs that have a history of UTI's and are taking cranberry products. Lawn Guard does not have any ingredients that are meant to change the urine pH. This product reduces the nitrogen in the urine that leads to lawn burn.
