Cosequin®

Shown effective in published U.S. studies, these formulas are ideal for moderate joint support in dogs. These formulas contain a combination of glucosamine and chondroitin, both of which are found in healthy cartilage, plus manganese, which helps in the formation of cartilage, to support the overall health and mobility of joints. This combination of ingredients helps maintain the cartilage structure and joint fluid. Regular capsules for small dogs and cats. Active Ingredients Per Daily Use:

Cosequin Regular Capsules: For dogs and cats up to 25 lbs. Suggested daily use: Pets under 10 lbs: 1/2 to 1 capsule; 10-24 lbs: 2 capsules.

After first 6-week period: Pets under 10 lbs can have their dosage reduced to 1/2 capsule daily or 1 capsule every other day. 10 to 24 lbs can have their dosage reduced to 1 capsule daily.

Cosequin Regular Soft Chews: For dogs. Suggested daily use: Dogs 10-29 lbs: 1 chew; 30-59 lbs: 2 chews; 60-89 lbs: 3 chews; 90-120 lbs: 4 chews.

After first 4-6-week period: Dogs 10-29 lbs can have 1 chew every other day. Dogs over 30 lbs can have their total daily dosage lowered in increments of 1 capsule daily per month until maintenance level is reached.

Cosequin Double Strength Capsules & Chewables: For dogs. Suggested daily use: Dogs under 10 lbs: 1/2 capsule or chewable tablet; 10-24 lbs: 1 capsule or chewable tablet; 25-49 lbs: 2 capsules or chewable tablets; 50-100 lbs: 3 capsules or chewable tablets (2 in the a.m. and 1 in the p.m.); over 100 lbs: 2 capsules or chewable tablets twice daily.

After first 6-week period: Dogs 25-49 lbs can have total daily dosage lowered in increments of a 1/2 capsule daily per month until maintenance level is reached. Dogs over 49 lbs can have their total daily dosage lowered in increments of 1 capsule daily per month until maintenance level is reached.

Instructions for use:

The recommended initial administration period is four to six weeks; however, some dogs may respond in a shorter period of time. The number of Cosequin Soft Chews may then be reduced to the maintenance level.

† Once consistent improvement has been seen, these maintenance levels may be reduced to an every other day administration. The maintenance level can also be used long term on healthy dogs to help support their joints.
