This collar is superior to the Elizabethan collar - hands down! My pup was miserable with that nasty plastic cone around his neck. I think that the main drawback with the plastic cone is that it impairs their vision and their balance is off. This collar is a life saver!

I have a pointer who loves to lick wounds --- had to use two of these together, but they worked - first put on the XL, then put on the L -- and she finally could not move her head to lick the surgery --- the big advantage of these is that the dogs don't "run into furniture" or have difficulty navigating narrow spaces as they do with the E-collars ... and they appear sleep to with them on just fine.

I purchased this after a long search for something better than the "lampshade" which happened to be the largest one possible. Ruby (my dog) likes to lick her paws till they're raw when its icky outside since she hates the rain, not to mention she gets into the cat boxes, so I wanted something she could eat in and sleep in. She can sniff the ground when she's outside and if she runs into the wall, furniture or me it doesn't hurt either of us. She can eat her food from her regular bowl, and drink from her 5 gallon water bowl. I'm very pleased with this item and would recommend it to anyone who needs it. Absolutely the best.

This is the perfect protection for our post-surgery dog! She only weighs four pounds and is almost as agile as a ferret; and this is the only collar that keeps her both safe and happy while she's recovering. We had never heard of the ProCollar -- and we didn't have a current catalog -- but when we called to ask if you had any recommendations for a tiny, wriggly little dog like ours, you suggested we try this, and we love it! She can eat, drink, and sleep comfortably in this collar (which she couldn't do in the hard "cone" collar) and it keeps her from licking at her stitches. And it's so lightweight, she doesn't mind wearing it. Thanks for a great product -- and great customer service!

My 7 yr old high energy Vizsla was not doing well (to say the least) w/ the traditional E collar so I paid expedited shipping for the ProCollar and it was so worth it!! She seemed comfortable immediately and is able to sleep, eat, and go for a walk. Now I feel confident that she can completely recover from surgery without the struggle of the "plastic cone."
