What is Aller-chlor?
Aller-chlor, with active ingredient chlorpheniramine, is an antihistamine used for the treatment of allergies and atopy.

Who is it for?
Chlorpheniramine can be used in dogs and cats.

What are the benefits?
  • Antihistamine now available without a prescription
  • Economical generic form of Chlor-trimeton
  • 4 hour Allergy Relief!

Chlorpheniramine is an antihistamine used in the treatment of allergies, including inhalant allergies (atopy). It can be used to ease itchy skin, rashes, and other signs of allergies.

How does Chlorpheniramine work?
This medication eases the physical symptoms of allergies by blocking the effects of histamine in the body.

How is it given?
Chlorpheniramine is given orally. Always follow the dosage instructions provided by your veterinarian. If you have difficulty giving the medication, contact your veterinarian.

Duration of treatment depends on reason for and response to treatment.

What results can I expect?
Chlorpheniramine will not cure allergies, but may help ease some of the symptoms, such as scratching and licking. It generally works within several hours of giving the medication. The effects are short, however, so chlorpheniramine is generally given more than once a day.

What form(s) does it come in?
This medication comes in a tablet form
