Very effective, looks great, easy to put on.
Abbey looks great in her new Fido Float life vest. It's a safe, good looking way to take her out on the paddle boat with us.

Thr small fit my mini dog just perfect the mesh on the bottom give him a lot of freedom in pool. Got it fast too love this company.

Great safety device and my dog doesn't mind it
It does exactly what it is suppose to do. I have a 4 month old lab/blue heeler and he doesn't mind the jacket one bit. We used it only for going out in the boat. The first time I put it on him I didn't think it fit and was going to send it back. I was fastening tthe straps incorrectly. Once I followed tthe directions it was a perfect fit.

Helped my dog learn to swim!
I have never had any experience with dog life jackets since my older dog learned to swim at 5 months old and swims like a fish! I bought the Fido Float Life Jacket for my 3 year old dog who has previously panicked when trying to swim. She is part bulldog (but with normal size legs) so she is more muscular than other dogs her size. I brought a large based on the measurement guide and it fit perfectly. The zipper along the back makes on/off very easy and is very secure.
The first time she wore it in the water, my husband carried her into waist deep water and lowered her in and kept a hand under her abdomen just to reassure her, allowing the Fido Float to float her. After just a few minutes, she was able to calm down and figure out how to swim. She then proceeded to swim around after her brother all afternoon!
One feature that I liked over the other dog life jackets is the one piece mesh underside with the adjustable strap that goes around the ribcage. When we used the jacket, it felt very secure. The two handles are an absolute MUST in my opinion; we have had to transfer her from boat to water and back again- so easy and I have to imagine it would be more comfortable for the dog than similar products with a single handle.
Another great feature that I like is the flotation collar. It sits high on the neck so it kept her head out of the water. There is also an adjustable strap under the flotation collar. It was very easy for her to wear and she ran around on the beach with no limitations.
She has only used it twice so I can't speak to how durable it is, but she has carried it around in her mouth several times and it has not developed any holes or tears. Even if it only lasts the summer, I feel it is a good value. I am very glad I purchased the Fido Float Life Jacket.
