Canines have a definite instinct to hide out in dens. If they do not have one available, they will "make their own." We frequently see our dogs under desks, the dining room table or even under Grandma's Chippendale buffet, if they can fit. What this behavior is all about is a canine's natural desire to have a place he can call his own. The dog will often seek out this refuge when he is tired, stressed, or just wants to be away from it all.

Reasons to Purchase a Pet Den:

Housebreaking: It is a dog's natural inclination toward dens that makes the Pet Den so useful to housetrain puppies. Since puppies will not normally soil an appropriately sized den, Pet Dens are extremely effective for helping puppies gain control over their bladders. They help reduce the number of accidents you will have to clean up, and cut in half the time it takes to teach puppies where they are supposed to relieve themselves. When it comes to housebreaking a new puppy, there is nothing that makes the training go faster or easier than a Pet Den. The right size Pet Den is one in which your pet can lie down, turn around, and have three to four inches of extra head space when sitting or standing. I was so happy to find a crate that was airline compliant for international travel that also did not cost too much. The crate was easy to put together, and it even came with a feeder dish required for the flight. I think my dog traveled more comfortably on our nine hour flight than I did! First off this is the cheapest extra large crate you will find. Second it is the best quality that I have seen. I was a little skeptical ordering online. However, I was most pleased when it arrived. Easy to put together and take apart, and there is plenty of room for my 90+ lb lab. Keeps him safe, keeps my gear safe from him. Thanks for making a truly great product.

I ordered an intermediate size Pet Den and was very happy with the quality of the crate when it arrived, and the ease in assembling. I did have a problem, however. The first time I used it for an out of town trip, the bottom part of the door latch fell apart, rendering it unusable. I had to call Customer Service and ask for a new door. They promised to contact the manufacturer and have another door shipped at no expense. To my amazement, they got it here 5 days later (it's supposed to take 10-12 business days). This is a nicely designed crate with good ventilation and much lighter to carry than the more expensive Vari-Kennel crates.
