Accessory 2-pack Snaps
This pen is exactly what I had in mind in prep for getting a new puppy. Pulling the connecting rod and attaching it to a wire crate was a snap. Instant dog enclosure with a steptrough gate in our kitchen, which due to it's flexibility, was easy to configure to the avaible space. Now we've increased her area, (but still in the kitchen), by simply affixing each end to create a large half circle (still with the step through gate) with the crate inside it, under a bay window. Pup loves it and so do we. Once it's safe to take her outside, this unit will really come in handy on visits, vacations, etc.

Simple, Easy to Use
These snaps are easy to use and effective in holding parts of the exercise pen together.

Does what I need it to do
I ordered this for the Classic Pen I have as I was unable to get the sunshade for the pen. This was actually a bonus as the dog has little use for the pen however one of the cats loves it and with this top I don't have to worry he'll climb out. Can just get some sun shade or other fabric to put on top for shade if necessary (it sits under a shade tree anyway). The cat loves being outdoors in grass...... He only gets to go out in the pen when I am outside with him and the dog and always has water available. His only regret is that he can't wander further; I do move the pen around so he has different grass to chew (LOL). He seems to like this better than other Drs. F&S pens/runs I have purchased (and love) because he can be in the grass with this one. Do wish it came with more snaps, will have to order extras.

Not as it appears in photos.
I bought the roof for the Elite Exercise pen and am slightly disappointed that it is not what it appears from the photos. In the photos, esp in the catalog I have, it appears to be a canvas top. It's not. It's just 2 wire panels you clip on.
In some ways that is probably *better* for my purpose (temporary outdoor pen for young chicks) but it leaves me having to get creative with ways to give them shade, and trust me, if I had time to "get creative" I'd have saved the money and built from scratch. I needed something that was going to do everything I needed it to do right out of the box, and this won't.
Still, it WILL be better for keeping predators out, so I guess I'll keep it and hope the chickies have enough shade under a tree.
