Exactly what I wanted, better than expected! This are much heavier and sturdier than I expected, great for crate trained dogs. I have 2 boxers and they can't get their faces in most bowls, and when they try they knock them over. These are large enough and they best part is they stay in place!!!! January 13, 2013

This product had great feathers I love the stainless bowls with hooks,I hook them to a 36x36 kennel and now my little chihuahuas don't spill their water or the dry food, I would deaffly recommend them, great product thank you Drs. Fosters and Smith November 11, 2012

Cage bowls

Do you have any pictures of the mounting mechanism for the hanging bowl? I have a boxer pup that is knocking everything over so I am looking for a hanging bowl. I would also like to know which would be better at taking a little beating. Thanks

I do not have any pictures, but I would not recommend this product in your situation. I ordered two of these bowls for my foster puppy who is also tipping all his bowls over. The mounting mechanism (screw/washer/wing nut) works by itself, but since there's only one fixture point, it rotates with a push, paw, or nudge. A few of those and the thing is disconnected, leaving you back at your original problem. I have plans to re-engineer the ones I ordered so they will work for me, but I wish they'd been designed a little better to begin with. I have not tried the ones that simply hang, but I have a hard time imagining they stay put with a puppy playing with them either. Whoever comes up with a puppy-proof version of this idea will have my business!

I wondered the same thing as my Great Dane mix is a little rowdy and I didn't want a bowl falling or being knocked off. I got the style that screws in and you can remove the bowl for cleaning if you want to, but my dog has yet to knock it off or anything. It was also easy to install. I'd suggest you go with that type!

There is a version of the hanging bowls that has a screw mount on the back. It would be better. The one that just hooks on to the cage could be knocked off if your dog figured out how to push it upward. I believe both options are listed on the same page. I purchased the small bowl for my shih poo's food. It is about the same size as the 1C in a set of measuring cups. It's a little smaller than I expected and seems a bit small for a boxer. The medium bowl is a good size. It seems to hold more than twice as much.

I have a very energetic Boston Terrier who constantly spilled his water in his cage. I purchased this bowl a month ago and it is perfect! It mounts securly, and is metal, so I dont have to worry about him chewing it up! This is the small bowl, there are 2 other sizes. It is easily installed. I definitley recommend this bowl if you are tired of spilled water and wet bedding!
