Outlast technology helps manage heat, so the pad feels thermally "just right". Here's how it works: Excess heat generated by your pet is absorbed into the Outlast fibers, to reduce overheating. As this heat is distributed throughout the Outlast fibers, cold spots are eliminated, too. The result is a bed that is neither too hot nor too cold. Outlast was originally developed for NASA and has since been incorporated into a number of everyday uses.
Luxury Crate Pads with Outlast boast a luxurious microsuede top fabric that feels silky yet durable to the touch. Its non-skid bottom grabs onto crate floors to prevent slipping. The entire bed is machine washable and dryable. Please specify color. Sizes are available to fit just about every crate or cage.

Caring for your Luxury Crate Pad with Outlast
Machine wash the entire pad when soiled, with like colors, using a mild detergent and gentle cycle of washing machine. Do not use chlorine bleach. Line dry or tumble dry on low heat.

Outlast materials balance temperature through the use of patented microencapsulated Thermocules® that absorb and store excess heat, releasing it when you need it most.
When Outlast technology is part of an acrylic or viscose fiber, it is a permanent part through the life of the garment. Coated products are developed for excellent durability both through home laundry and dry cleaning.
Outlast temperature regulating technology can be incorporated into textiles by a number of methods. In addition to viscose and acrylic in-fiber technology, in which the Outlast Thermocules are spun directly into yarns and fabrics, Outlast can be coated directly onto fabrics using a padding treatment or knife-over-roll or applied to finished garment via infusion and spray technology.
All Outlast fabrics, coatings and fibers are most effective when they are designed to be used as liner or interliner materials oriented so that they are more interactive with the human body, or the microclimate next to the human body, rather than with the outside environment.
