We have two senior indoor only cats (18 years). Both get monthly topical doses of Advantage II Flea Control, but they still have fleas. Am considering using the Bayer Advantage Treatment Spray, however, both cats love to lick themselves and each other, so am wondering if there is any adverse reaction if they lick the medication that is applied. Also, can the spray be used in addition to the topical?
We live in the country, so fleas are present everywhere. Both cats are brushed and combed daily and hardwood floors vacuumed weekly, but the fleas keep coming. Seems like a lot of people in our area have commented on the bad infestation this year - even the personnel at our vet's office.
