Rated 3 out of 5 by AlphaFeline The smell of alcohol is overwhelming.
I know felines don't like sprays, so I was very glad to see this product with a 'dab' applicator. However, the smell of alcohol was so strong, my kitty wouldn't cooperate. I currently use a clean paper towel soaked with the product to apply it to Nancy. She was traumatized by a dog last year and has developed the habit of over-grooming. Once the Bitter Apple is applied it is effective for perhaps a day.

I have a 3 month old kitten who likes to chew on my hands. So i purchased this item in hopes that it wouldmake him stop. He loves the taste of it. He still bites our hands and he licks the bitter off. This does not detere me from shopping from this company. Foster and Smith is a wonderful company to shop from and the customer service is perpect.

I cannot attest to whether this products works or not because I refuse to use it. It is called "Bitter Apple", however it is not apple at all, it smells like pure rubbing alcohol, and after looking at the ingredients, that's because it basically IS. I will not put this on my cat. If I wanted to use rubbing alcohol, I would have done so.
