Its padded hood helps contain warmth, offers seclusion, and can be removed, thanks to zip-on construction. Cat bed boasts a dual thermostat heating unit buried within its thick premium polyfil pillow base. The heating unit uses only 4 watts, which adds up to just pennies per month in energy costs - even when it's plugged in continuously. Heating unit warms the surface of the bed 10-15 degrees above ambient air temperature when plugged in and vacant. When your cat lies down on the bed, it warms to your pet's normal body temperature (around 102° F). The heating unit can also be removed from the bed seasonally or anytime heat is not needed.
The hood and side walls of this bed feature orthopedic foam, which holds its shape beautifully. The cover boasts microsuede outer fabric and a leopard plush inner fabric. Cover and pillow are machine washable. Indoor use only, MET listed 5 ft cord. Small measures 16" dia.; 6" high walls, 10" overall hood height. Large measures 20" dia; 6" high walls; 15" overall hood height.

Caring for your Heated Cat Cup
REMOVE HEATER TO MACHINE WASH BED. Simply unzip the pillow and remove the heater, making sure to also pull the cord through the opening in the base of bed for full removal. Place heater aside and do not use except when in bed. Cover can be washed with foam intact, or unzip the base of the cover to remove the foam sides. Machine wash entire pillow (with heater removed) when necessary. Use gentle cycle on machine and cool water to wash bed. Line dry or tumble dry low heat, gentle cycle.
Heating unit is for use inside this bed only. Do not use alone. Make sure the cord is exiting from the back of pad, out of the normal path of pet. Do not use pins or other metallic means to secure this bed in place. If cord shows signs of chewing from pet, remove and discard. Also discard heating unit if it shows any sign of deterioration (such as checking, blistering, or cracking). This is not a human heating pad. Household use only. Do not use this heated bed outdoors.
