Keratolux® Medicated Shampoo

Keratolux Medicated Shampoo with spherulites removes scales, crusts, and excessive oil associated with your pet's skin disorders. Keratolux is especially effective for skin disorders involving conditions such as sicca (dry, scaly, dull skin and coat with white or gray scales present) or oleosa (oily skin and hair coat, yellow-brown clumps of fatty material, a rancid odor, or waxy, malodorous ears).

Keratolux Medicated Shampoo helps regulate skin oil production and skin cellular development to improve skin health. Keratolux Medicated Shampoo contains spherulites, an exclusive and patented encapsulation system developed by Virbac that provides slow release of the ingredients in the skin long after you've applied the product.

Active ingredients include 1.0% salicylic acid, 0.5% pyridoxine HCl, and 0.5% zinc gluconate. Keratolux Medicated Shampoo contains no tar.

Uses
Keratolux shampoo is an antiseborrheic, keratolytic tar-free cleansing shampoo that may be used on dogs, cats, and horses of any age.

Anti-adhesive glycotechnology uses a unique combination of monosaccharides and an alkylpolyglucoside that reduces bacterial and yeast adhesion to the skin. This action physically disrupts micro-organism colonization on the skin surface and may delay onset of irritation due to topical bacterial or yeast.

Active Ingredients

Sodium Salicylate 1.0% w/w (equivalent to 0.86% Salicylic acid), Zinc Gluconate 0.5% w/w, Pyridoxine HCl 0.5% w/w.

Chitanoside: a natural biopolymer that creates a protective film on the skin and hair coat.

Non-ionic spherulites - an exclusive and patented encapsulation system developed by Virbac; provides slow release of the ingredients in the skin long after product application. Spherulites microcapsules, monosaccharides and an alkylpolyglucoside, fatty acids.

Directions for Use
Shake well before use. Wet the hair coat with warm water and apply a sufficient amount of shampoo to create a rich lather. Massage shampoo into wet hair coat, lather freely. Rinse and repeat. Allow to remain on hair coat for 5 to 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with clean water. May be used initially for three-day intervals for three weeks, or as directed by your veterinarian.

Keep out of reach of children. Wash hands after using. For animal use only. For topical use only. Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, flush eyes with water; seek medical attention if irritation persists. If your pet develops undue skin irritation, discontinue use and consult a veterinarian.
