Smart Scoop Self-Scooping Litter Box Accessories

Break free from daily scooping with a self-scooping litter pan that does the dirty work for you. Smart Scoop cleans the pan after your cat leaves and deposits the waste into a bin where an activated carbon filter eliminates the odor. Works with any clumping litter.

Smart Scoop begins to rake waste 15 minutes after your cat leaves the box, unless a cat re-enters the box (this resets the timer). Thick, power-coated metal rake ensures lasting durability. The motor unit travels on a track outside the pan during the rake cycle, so litter won't clog the gears. The litter pan area is 14" wide x 16" long and overall dimensions are 18.25" wide x 25.5" long x 7.5" high.

The waste bin, in addition to housing the filter, is also lined with a No-Touch Waste Bag for hassle-free waste disposal. When the bag is full, simply remove and toss it in the trash. Replace the waste bag about once a week and the carbon filter about once a month in a single cat household (more frequently in multi-cat households). AC power cord included. Includes a bonus ramp and litter-catching mat. It also includes a 6-month supply of carbon filters and waste bags.

If you need larger litter-tracking coverage, add the Large Litter Mat (34" x 23.5"). When worn, you can also replace the Half-Moon Litter Mat (22.5" x 14") included with this box. Use the Non-Stick Litter Box Spray to make sure litter messes won't stick to the pan and to destroy odors. For even better odor control, use the Odor Control Spray in and around the litter box. Both sprays use natural enzymes.

1. Locate motor unit and turn clutch clockwise to the "unlocked" position.
2. Align motor unit with litter pan edge and slide it forward.
3. The front edge of the motor unit should be aligned with the line on the litter pan.
4. Engage clutch by turning the lever counter-clockwise to the "locked" position.
5. Lift the plastic latch cover and align the waste unit above the motor unit.
6. Press down to engage latches.
7. You will hear a distinct "click" when the latches are properly engaged.
8. NOTE: There should be no gap between the motor unit and waste unit.
9. Assemble litter rake into waste unit.
10. First, place the straight end into the hole in the waste unit on the side opposite the motor unit.
11. Next, push the safety door latch to drop the curved end into the rake slot. (On older units, you must close the rake safety door. Failure to do so will cause the rake to be in an improper position, which could damage the motor unit.)
12. Make sure that the tines of the litter rake are pointing toward the bottom of the litter pan.
13. Close the plastic latch cover.
14. Install waste deflector, snap into the groove at the end of litter box. Smooth side should face inside box.
15. Locate the AC power supply. Connect the breakaway power supply cord to the cord originating from the motor unit.
16. Fix power supply cord collar into the slot located on the underside of the litter pan.
17. Fill with clumping litter.
18. Do NOT exceed the "Maximum" line located on the inside of the litter pan. Overfilling WILL damage the motor unit.
19. Plug AC power supply into a working outlet.
20. Press POWER button on motor unit to activate. Smart Scoop will immediately complete a cycle when turned on. When Smart Scoop is on, the MODE light will be solid green and indicates that the unit will complete a cleaning cycle 15 minutes after your cat leaves the box. (NOTE: older units will NOT complete a cleaning cycle after being powered on).

The Smart Scoop Self-Scooping Litter Box scoops dirty, clumped litter so you don't have to worry about wasting clean litter! As with all automatic litter boxes, it's recommended to regularly clean the litter box. This is why it's the self-scooping litter box and not the self-cleaning litter box. It performs the unpleasant task of scooping for you, but still needs a thorough cleaning like all litter boxes.
