This cat toy's automatic laser chaser keeps your cat on the prowl. The laser dot, which circles, pauses, and then circles again, cannot be caught - which keeps your cat moving. The Ba-Da-Beam features a rotating laser that can be directed into one of two adjustable positions - straight ahead for wall use, or downward toward the floor.
Set the toy where you want it, flip open the mirrored lid, and lock the lid into either position to direct the laser. Durable plastic housing includes an automatic shut-off feature that turns the cycle off after 15 minutes of continual use. Requires 3 AA batteries (included). Measures 4-1/2" diameter by 3-3/4" high. Cats of all ages love to chase their prey. The chase aspect of hunting forces your cat to remain alert, focused, and stimulated. But even the most active pet can become bored with normal toss toys, because these objects lack the response of their natural prey. The Ba-Da-Beam changes all of that, however. With its tantalizing, circling laser beam, your cat will chase, pounce, and circle as he tries to keep the small, red dot under his paws. Even better, since the laser automatically cycles on and then off, your cat is forced to guess when the laser will circle next, after having "escaped" from his quick grasp. Using your Ba-Da-Beam
Stimulate your cat's curiosity with the interactive cycling of a circling laser beam. Great exercise and fun for any age cat in any condition. Once activated, the laser beam circles, pauses, and then circles again - to entice your cat to chase the beam.
CAUTION: DO NOT aim the laser light directly into the eyes of pets or people.
As with any toy, treat, containment, or food product, always supervise your pet's use of the product. Also, periodically inspect the product for any signs of damage or excessive wear. If you find any damage or excessive wear, immediately remove the product from your pet's environment. Do not permit your pet to play with a product that is broken or damaged. Please discard this product, should it become broken, damaged, or show signs of excessive wear. No pet toy is indestructible.
Battery Installation
Flip the unit over.
Open the battery compartment door, by unlatching the thumb-latch lid.
Insert 3 AA batteries (included), ensuring proper placement of the battery polarizations by following the diagram inside the battery compartment.
Close the battery door.
To conserve batteries, this toy has an automatic shut-off feature. It turns the laser off after 15 minutes of continual use. To restart the toy, simply close the lid and then open the lid again.
Tips
Do not mix old and new batteries.
Do not mix standard, alkaline, or rechargeable batteries.
Only use batteries of the same or equivalent type, as recommended.
Exhausted batteries should be removed immediately.
Do not dispose of batteries with household waste.
Operating Instructions
Place the Ba-Da-Beam onto a floor or flat surface.
Lift the lid into one of two positions:
a. Lower position to aim the laser downward (i.e. at the floor)
b. Upper position to aim the laser straight ahead (i.e. at the wall)
Once the lid is open, the laser will circle for a few seconds, then stop, and then resume circling again. This cycle is repeated until you close the lid, or the automatic shut-off feature is activated (after 15 minutes of continual use).
You can also pick up the Ba-Da-Beam via the finger indentations, located on either side of the toy housing. Then, you can aim the laser where you'd like for interactive play with your cat.
Cleaning your Ba-Da-Beam
If necessary, wipe down the toy with a warm, damp cloth. Do Not immerse this product into water, or permit any water to enter either the laser or battery compartments.

Made of durable plastic, shaped into a conical design. Features a rotating laser eye inside of the toy body. This laser is reflected off of a mirror, which is located underneath the flip-top lid. Laser can be directed into one of two positions: a lower level for shining the laser onto the floor; or, a higher position, for directing the laser onto walls. My cat absolutely loves this toy!!! She never gets tired of chasing the beam. However, Drs. F&S is in the process of sending a third beam to me. The laser did not rotate in the first one. The second worked fine for several week but now the beam does not work, although the mechanism does rotate. Drs. F&S have been wonderful in helping me, as usual. Please let them know if you have problems with this toy so that the buyer can act accordingly.
My 2 cats love to chase things. I bought Ba-Da-Beam and Lil looked at it and walked away. Bruce Lee looked at it and walked up and closed the lid--I couldn't stop laughing, but my friends cats love it. I watch them play. It is a very fun toy.
My Hamlet loves laser toys so I got the Ba-Da-Beam for him because I get tired of holding the laser pointer. He stalks the laser beam from behind furniture, and actually sits next to it when it's not activated, staring at me until I turn it on. He loves it!

This is the first cat toy my Cricket has ever played with for more than five minutes and then lost interest forever. She loves it so much she comes and asks me to turn it back on.
