Great for senior kitty with arthritis! I was wary of buying a ramp that might not ever be used by our senior kitty (11 yrs old), but I'm so glad that I did! It took a while for me to figure out how/where to place it so she'd feel safe, now it's along my side of the bed, wedged in by the nightstand and a chair. My cat literally runs up the ramp, hops into bed, and curls up to nap. She also always uses it to get off of the bed safely. I worried it might be a problem for me since it blocks my side of the bed, but I just step right on it and no problem. It is very durable, and stable. April 3, 2013

Excellent product! I had to nurse a geriatric foster cat (now our cat) back from hepatolipodosis and this ramp enabled her to get up and down from higher places despite having limited use of her hind legs and other muscular issues. She was not able to handle steps or a step type ramp, but this was excellent! It is light, sturdy, easy to maneuver, and a snap to clean if soiled. She is now fully recovered but still uses it and even likes to nap on it. December 16, 2012

Great for your Dogs & Cats! It's a lil expensive but totally worth every penny!!! It's light weight & easy to clean. It comes in two sections that velcro together, the ramp can extend straight (make it short use 1st sec., use both sec for longer ramp), fold zig-zag, or make an "L" shape & folds in half for storage. I have two ramps now & have them put side by side to make 1wide ramp. The ramp also has a soft rubbery nonskid so no one slips not even with wet paws. I have an 18 yr old lil Mutt & Two 2yr old Doxies & 3 Puddy tats & several puppy friends that use & love this ramp everyday. My 1st ramp is about 10+ yrs old & still looks new! ;) March 5, 2012

Kitty assistance ramp My dear, sweet kitty, Bagley, is about 15 1/2 years old. In the past 4 months her ability to walk has slowed greatly. I have received the F&S catalog in the past and went online to see if there was something available to help her get on/off the couch (her favorite spot). This ramp was the ticket! It was very easy to set up. After about 2 days of holding my cat, and showing her how to walk up and down the ramp, she can manuever with ease on and off the couch. This item is well made and worth every penny. I would highly recommend it. January 2, 2012

How do I overcome difficulties in training a SMART cat how to use pet stairs stairs?

Although my 8~year old cat with degenerative lumbar spine and congenital vision distortion is the smartest cat I've ever had, and yet no matter what type of stair product I buy, either pet stairs is the one concept she just will NOT grasp despite all efforts to show her how to use pet stairs, or for some reason she refuses to use them. She will walk around them every time, and then nearly hurt herself jumping. She has no problem using our household stairs, so I do not understand what the problem is. What do you suggest I can do to have more success getting her to use this product? And if she will not, is it returnable?

My cat was pretty stubborn with everything I had tried too. Try clearing everything out of the way and having the ramp the only path to the couch or bed, etc. Lay on the floor and get the cat's attention to the end of the ramp-with your hand or a treat or toy, etc. and then slowly move the item up the ramp to the top while the cat follows. Give love and praise, then reverse the process to get the cat to go down. Do it as many times as it takes until the cat realizes this is a path to get up and down. Keep the path cleared until the cat is fully using the ramp on it's own. Slowly (meaning one by one and day by day) replace any items you may have rearraged to clear the path so the cat keeps as much focus on the path as possible until it becomes natural to it to use the ramp no matter the surrounding area. Hope this helps!
