Good product for parrots
I have a Moluccan Cockatoo who loves to dump his containers of water - almost as soon as I put a clean water dish into his cage. This bottle hanging outside his cage was the answer to that - he can't get to the bottle itself to bite into it, and figured out immediately how to use and drink from it. It saves me a lot of clean-up in his cage.

Fantastic product
I have tried other non-drip brands and they drip like crazy. This one does not, and all my guinea pigs can use it even the babies. Plus not having to wrestle it out of the holder every time you need to fill it is a big bonus. I have one and am planning on buying two more after wasting money on other no-drip noisy, messy water bottles.

Doesn't leak but animals could not learn to use it.
I bought this originally for my ferret and it doesn't leak at all whatsoever but the thing was, my ferret couldn't learn how to use it. I even tried it with my two rats and they learned to use their hands to lift the lever but afterwards would still not use it and continued to use their old water bottle. It's a great idea and love that it doesn't leak but from my experience and from other reviews I've read, most animals can't learn or take a long time to learn to use it.

Doesn't work for my ferret
My fuzzy couldn't figure it out. I thought for sure he would since he's so clever at figuring out other things. Heck, it took ME some time to figure out how it's supposed to work. The lever seems to need to be pushed in a little while being lifted up at the same time. I don't think his tongue works that way. He lifts it up when he licks, but doesn't push the lever inward. Also, the bottle is just held in by a spring with clips on each end. It's not enough to keep it secure from a curious ferret! He knocked it over several times. Plus, the cap on the top snaps on rather than screws on, and the flip top is not secured, so we had several floods while he tried his darnest to get a drink.
