How to Put On the Mask:
Make sure the throat latch is open to start.
Standing on the left side of your horse, grasp plush trim at the top of mask at ear opening (for SuperMask II with Ears, grasp plush trim at top of mask nearest ears) and gently pull down over your horse's ears.
Reach under your horse's neck to bring the right side of the latch over to attach to left side.
Fold back the left side to seal the double-latch closure.
Make Sure the Mask Fits:
The mask should fit snugly, but not too tight. No gaps should be around the edges to let flies in. If you can't adjust the mask to eliminate gaps, you need a smaller size.
The mask should not be so tight the edges press down on your horse's face. The closure should not have to be stretched to fasten. If the mask fits tight, it's too small.
How to Take Off the Mask:
Gently unfasten latch and slip mask over ears to remove.
Be sure to check your horse's face and eye condition after you remove the mask.
Mask Maintenance:
Rinse mask with water on a regular basis to remove sweat and dirt.
Check plush trim for burrs, twigs and other irritating foreign objects every time you remove the mask.
