Swiss Mountain Scratcher
Great value. The slanted container (or "mountain") is kind of useless for us at least... gets tipped over easily and our cats really don't seem to like the vertical incline. However, just take the cardboard insert out of the box and lay it flat on the floor. That's the way our girls like to scratch anyway and they often just lounge on the card board and love to be petted while on it. Ours either scratch on the pole, or on a flat surface. Seems a waste to throw out the box or "mountain" it comes in but we cannot find even plane old cardboard scratchers in the store for twice the price. Hope you found this useful.

It seems to be as much fun upside down as it is right side up! They spend hours playing in and on this scratcher. My cats range from 2 pounds to 20 pounds and it has held up beautifully.I recommend the Swiss Mountain Scratcher to anyone who wants to laugh. Cats love this scratcher.

cat scratching surface
My one cat loves it. But she likes it better upside down. Sometimes she sleeps in it.

The cats love it!!
They enjoy the elevated design of the scratcher. I have multiple cats using the scratcher and it's holding it's shape well. I've had this scratcher for about 3 to 4 weeks now, and there is little evidence that the corrugated cardboard has been used, which is nice. For the money, it's a nice scratcher. I will buy additional ones to put away for the future. I bought 2 to start and have only opened 1 so far.
