To set up: Unfold crate sides, unzip top opening, and insert frame.

On using pet restraints for travel: While restraints may seem to curb your dog's thrill of riding in the car, they dramatically increase his safety and will quickly become a normal part of travel, if used consistently. Using vehicle restraints and cages in the car can help you protect your dog from getting hurt on a quick stop, on a sharp turn, or in an accident. Your dog will eventually come to associate his harness, seat, barrier, or crate with riding in the car and will still be enthusiastic.

I recently purchased this folding dog crate. I found it easy to put-together and take-apart, and the soft sides make it easy to pack into my car without worrying about wire cages scratching the interior of my car. Ozzy, our Mini-longhair-Dachshund, seemed to love the roominess and comfort. However, I do have a heads-up on using the crate. Be sure to secure the zippers to the door, and there should be a way to secure the zippers on the top of the crate. Ozzy, while cooling his heels in the crate while we went out to eat, figured out how to separate the zippers to the top of the crate. He got them open, then proceeded to climb out of the crate. Imagine our surprise when we got back to find him free in the hotel room! We used a twist-tie to secure the top zipper. Then, I forgot to secure the door zippers, and the next time we went out and left Ozzy in the crate, he figured out how to open the door zippers, and again, was running loose in the room when we returned. Everything was fine, Ozzy did not do anything in the hotel room, but we were surprised (and somewhat proud), that he was smart enough to figure out the zippers. Anyway, since securing the zippers, he has remained in the crate. So be sure to secure the zippers if you want your smart dog to remain in the crate.

I bought this for my Boston Terrier puppy to sleep in at night, and he loves it. I take it with me when I take him to visit friends and use it as a playpen when he can't be supervised or when he needs a break from playing with kids or other dogs. It gives him plenty of space to play with his toys. It's lightweight and easy to carry for travel. I like that the window shades can go down for darkness at sleep time and up to let the light in during play time. I bought the medium so that he'd grow into it.

I bought this crate for my part Pit Bull. I got the large crate. It is wonderful. It is so much easier to travel with. Sets up fast. Putting it down is a little more difficult, but gets easier with practice. I love the top opening. It makes it easy to sooth my Ruby.

I bought this a couple of months ago for my English Bulldog. He has seizures and I wanted something to take on trips to keep him confined at night. This is great!! It was very easy to set up, very durable and sturdy, and very easy to fold and put away. Very affordable!!!
