| Choose the correct Doggy Dooley for your needs: Models 2000 & 3000 - Pail-style models require digging a hole 48" deep. Width of the hole is 14" in diameter for model 2000 & 15" in diameter for model 3000. These units have built-in overflow devices, which allow stool to digest within the unit and drain gradually through the overflow tubes. It is very important to add at least 1 quart to 1 gallon of water daily. If water is not added daily, the unit will start to dry out and will need to be started-up again with water & digester powder. Model 8024 - Pyramid-style model requires digging a 20" x 20" square hole to a depth of 23" deep. For multi-pet households, the 8024 also includes an expansion kit which extends the bottom of the unit and requires a deeper hole. Unlike the "holding tank" pail-style models, the pyramid-style Dooley drains directly into the ground. Maintenance requires adding 5 gallons of water 2 times a week. General Information: These units do not work as effectively in soils with heavy clay content. To check for proper drainage, add 5 gallons of water after digging the hole. If the water drains completely in 48 hours, the unit should work properly. The manufacturer recommends using Dooley Waste Terminator (digester powder) with all units, especially if dogs are fed a highly digestible food such as Iams, Science Diet, or Eukanuba, or other premium foods. Too much chlorine in your water can stop or slow digestive action. Leaving a pail of water in the sun will evaporate the chlorine. This could take from 1-2 hours, or up to an entire day if the chlorine level is very high. Digestive action will start at 40°F and increases as the temperature rises. When temperatures drop below 40°F you will want to discontinue use of the unit. When it warms up again, simply re-start the unit as in the beginning (adding water, stool, and digester powder). Select a site for unit away from your house, tree roots, the path of your lawn mower, and an area of your yard where there is never standing water. Try to locate an area with minimum clay content and check for proper drainage first. |

| Q. | Which In-Ground Waste Disposal System is right for me? |
|---|---|
| A. | There are many factors to consider when deciding on an In-Ground Waste Disposal System. The size and quantity of your dog(s) and the size hole that you want to dig are the main factors.
|
| Q. | How do I keep my Doggie Dooley System from smelling offensive? |
|---|---|
| A. | A product called the Dooley Fresh Deodorizer Kit was created especially for this purpose. It comes with an 8-ounce spray and application pad to place under the digester lid. This deodorizing kit can also be used anywhere strong odors are a problem.
|
| Q. | What type of stool digester should I use with my Doggie Dooley System? |
|---|---|
| A. | The Doggie Dooley System comes with the Dooley Waste Terminator which will work fine even if you feed your dog a highly digestible food such as Iams, Science Diet, Eukanuba or other premium food.
|
| Q. | What climate can I use a Doggie Dooley System in? |
|---|---|
| A. | The digester in the Dooley Systems starts working at 40° F and increases in effectiveness as the temperature increases. It will not work when the temperature is lower than 40° F.
|
| Q. | What type of soil is best for a Doggie Dooley System? |
|---|---|
| A. | The best soil is a soil that has good drainage with little to no clay and /or gravel.
|
| Q. | My soil has a lot of clay, can I dig the hole deeper than it needs to be and add gravel to it? |
|---|---|
| A. | Digging a deeper hole and adding gravel will not help. Once the area with the gravel is full of digester and digested stool, then it will back up onto your yard.

I love my Doggie Dooley. Everyone who lives within the city limits need a Doogie Dooley. It's a great way to keep your lawn clean. I don't have to worry about doggie doo all over my lawn mower tires, or on my shoes. I placed it in the corner of my yard at the fence line and that works perfect. I have recommended it to several of my co-workers. |

I have two APBT and a Golden Retreiver; that's a lot of poo! I love my Doggie Dooley (I have the largest version). I have been religious about scooping everyday and its so much easier when its 3-6 piles an evening rather than 100 once a month. Plus you don’t have to put the dog poo in buckets or your garbage can. My thing was my dog's poop is too big to go in a plastic bag…even if done every day six piles in a plastic baggie is too much to handle. I love my Doggie Dooley!!!! I think that and my pooper scooper is the best thing ever. All the bones and toys and treats are for them, but those two items make it easier for me to take care of the most unpleasant parts of having dogs. You should get one. |

I installed my digest system several months ago and have been very satisfied with it. To work properly, one must add water every time waste is added. To make this process easier I have done two things. I have my sump pump hose run into a 5 gallon bucket and also use a rain barrel (or bucket) under my downspout. This way I always have plenty of water to add to the digester. |

I have been using this system for some time now and really find it very convenient and sanitary! Our first model (max model), was accidentally run over by our lawn maintenance man. We then purchased the smaller round model and didn't care for it as much. We have again purchased the larger model and would highly recommend this Max model if you have 2 or more dogs! Some helpful tips: You must dig a DEEP enough hole and stay on top of the watering and enzymes consistently. It's a great invention. We have 2 dogs and use this daily! |

With two puppies in the house, my least favorite task is picking up after them in the backyard. There aren't enough paper bags or trash deodorizers in the world. But this month I bought the Doggie Dooley Model 3500 Waste System. I installed it immediately and am happy to say that it's everything I thought it would be. It makes cleaning up after the pups a breeze and it prevents a messy trash can. So thank you Drs. Foster & Smith for offering not only fun products, but the pet necessities as well. |

The In-Ground Waste Digester System is a great invention and a great help when you have big dogs. I have two Rottweilers and they really make a lot of mess. This is the best thing I have used to keep the mess down. There is no smell and I don't have to worry about my son getting into anything. I have been using this for two years now and I love it. I really like the Model 3000. For my family and pets this is great. It is well worth the money and does not take a lot of time to put in. And with the bugs of summer you have no worry! |

We really like the Doggie Dooley (3000) for our two large dogs. Living in a semi-arid climate, and with clay soil, we were concerned it wouldn't work, but it has been working great! I highly recommend the Dooley. |

The Doggie Dooley works great provided you follow the instructions. Make sure you add a gallon of water with each stool addition. Don't overload the dooley or the bacteria will not be able to break down the waste fast enough. Make sure you remember to add the enzymes every week or else the bacteria will not be able to break down the wastes. Keep the dooley out of weather extremes. Mine was exposed to direct sun and freezing conditions and cracked over the winter. I will need to get another one for this year. You will notice some strong odors when adding water, but you will get used to the smell after awhile. |
