If your question is for what size pump to use for filtration. I would suggest, at minimum, the equal amount of water per hour. So if you have a 800 gallon pond you would want at least a 800 GPH (Gallons Per Hour) pump. The FP1 is 1000 GPH and should be a perfect size fit for your needs.
But also make sure the filtration system you are using could accommodate at least 1200 GPH. You always want the filter to be rated higher then required so it can still function efficiently when it is dirty.

I am using the Little Giant FP1 at an elevation of about 7 foot above the water to the filter intake and it has plenty of volume. The FP1 is rated for 10 foot head pressure at around 800 GPH. With a maximum of about 14-15 foot rise.

They will need to know exactly how high you need to pump the water, etc. You will need a pump large enough to have the correct head height to pump the water as high as they need it to go, tubing or pvc pipe to get the water to where it needs to be, and some sort of connections to put it all together (elbows, teflon tape, etc.)
