• Proper bedding - do not use cedar shavings, pine shavings, or sawdust. Instead, use Aspen bedding, shredded papers, or other natural materials that do not contain irritating oils or preservatives.

Do not place your pet's home in direct sunlight (although it should be located in a bright, accessible area) or in a drafty area. Keep the home out of reach of very young children and other pets. If you use a cage with a mesh bottom, cover a portion of it with fabric or a piece of smooth wood to prevent foot injuries.
