When we started our first animal hospital more than 25 years ago, our goal was to help pets live healthier, happier lives by providing the highest quality veterinary care available.
We soon learned that the best way to help pets was to help pet owners - the people who have the most influence on their pet's overall health. We decided there were three things we could do for pet owners which we felt could help the greatest number of pets:
- Give pet owners the information they want and need to improve their pet's care.
- Make the products they need affordable.
- Show them that many of the things they thought had to be done by pet professionals could actually be done by themselves at home . . . and for a lot less!
Judging by where our path has led us, our decision to help pet owners has resulted in helping more pets live happier, healthier lives than we ever could have dreamed possible.

It is the primary source for Discovery Channel's AnimalPlanet.com pet health libraries, and is used by thousands of pet owners, pet professionals, schools, and universities every day around the world.
